Berlin Championship Final 2013
Sometimes things are not going according to plan......
It started with the fact that i did not bring enough equipment for the live TV transmission of the game review by In-seong Hwang 8d, who made a lot of adverticement for it on his site: www.yunguseng.com.
Sorry In-seong! Sorry everybody who was waiting for it!!!
Then the game....overtime was not set correctly; then around move 190, when many mistakes allready had passed, big mistakes followed.
A black group escaped that should/could be dead; the same, but now even bigger, group died; a white groupe died when David wanted to save 2 stones......
This all happened in heavy overtime by both (15 stones in 5 minutes). Espescially David managed his time `badly`, so he had to make every time his last 5 moves in about 5 seconds.
Some of these moves were made `incorrectly`....(he first pressed the clock with his left hand, then placed the stone with his right hand). As seen on the video on 04.02.45 Michael objected to this behaviour and i presumed the game was over.......WRONG....they played on; i thought it was the analyses.....and only after 10 moves i didnt record it hit me that they still were playing for real and i was hopelesly behind in scribing during overtime for both.....so sorry to all the viewers on KGS!!!!!
In the end David won by 10 points and is the 2013 Berlin Champion.
The correct SGF, video and photos.
